Bassett, D.J. Swansea D.J. Bassett was listed in an 1899 Trade Directory as publican of the York Hotel, 1 Fisher Sreet, In the 1920s, D.J. Bassett was the landlord of the Railway Hotel, opposite High Street Swansea railway station, a site occupied today by the Grand Hotel. Like many other businessmen Bassett would have had other interests in Swansea.
