James and Ford, James and Ford Swansea and Port Talbot. W. Alf James & Thomas Ford Ltd. are listed in a 1912 Trade Directory as being at Pier St. Bonded Warehouse, 3,4 Waterloo St. and 20 Bath Lane. As many business men do, James and Ford had many facets to their business, they had a bonded warehouse store, they also had a hotel and produced tents and coverings for farmers needs, the advert below shows the diversity of their business, publicans sold their own ginger beer through their premises, perhaps, James and Ford sold theirs through the Rotherslade Hotel. Two tone, brown top standard
Nice, clear J.A.Bailey mark shown on this ginger beer, I'm not sure if Bailey produced the bottles or bought them and then retailed them.
