John Williams. Ginger Beer manufacturer of Back Street, Swansea. No bottles have so far been found with his name. The bottles may have been plain and a paper label attached. Or as was common at the time secondhand bottles recovered from refuse tips were resold and refilled by small businesses unable to afford their own bottles made for them. This insolvency notice was placed in The Cambrian in February 1861, while in August 1861 a John Williams of King Street, Swansea was again made insolvent. Anarticle placed in The Cambrian Newspaper states, 16 August 1861 FOR SALE: LEMONADE BUSINESS, JOHN WILLIAMS, PROPRIETOR,8 KING STREET, SWANSEA.
Both the above were printed in The London Gazette in 1861
The Cambrian, February 1861
