Very similar to the Swansea Aerated Water Co. it retained the rearing horse trademark.
One variation does not include the town name.

Three standard all brown variations. At first glance bottle two and three look the same , but bottle three has no full stop after LD


Bottle number two in the line up was one of only two known firms to buy their bottles from a Swansea firm,James.A.Bailey of 9 Alexandra Rd, Swansea, in various Trade Directories Bailey was described as a Cork Cutter and Bottle Merchant.

Bailey also produced glass bottles for his customers. Below is a close up of the J.A. Bailey stamp seen on bottle two.

Swansea United Breweries was as the name suggests a number of breweries from Swansea who all amalgamated, whether by choice or takeover to form the company. The first mention of Swansea United Breweries was in an 1895 Directory. Their address was listed at 8 Orange St. Henry William Crowhurst had been brewing here since at least 1869.
